A Post for Karrie (so maybe she’ll comment)
Karrie,
Do they use pass cards on the trains in your new city home? Because I found this idea and I thought you’d ilke it. It’s a pair of mittens designed by Collen at subwayknitter.com with a little pocket on the outside, where you can keep your pass card at the ready.
So, now that I’ve posted just for you, won’t you delurk and leave a little message? Pretty please, with refried beans and peanut butter on top?
Your pal,
Jackie

Cool! Don’t you just want a metro card system here so you could put the Charlie Card mittens to work?

Great pattern!
My next project is going to be either Sunrise or Hourglass. I looked on your blog and you have both!!
Any comment?

A POST JUST FOR ME??? I can’t believe it. I feel famous. Well, almost anyway. I’d rather be famous for being Jackie’s friend than just about anything else.
I love the mittens - they would be perfect, since I am forever digging through my overpacked bag for my El card. As a true Chicagoian, I have one of the cards that you can just touch to the gate before entering the train. This way I could be free - just touch my hand to things and *poof* doors would open!
On the subject of trains… it must be said - train knitting rocks. There may not be locally grown organic produce on every corner, but cities do have their benefits!
Love to you and the kitties!
